Our journey began in 2025, when a group of engineering students united by a passion for innovation, motorsports, and competition set out to bring Formula SAE to Loyola Marymount University. Within our first year, we designed and built our first Formula SAE race car and successfully competed at Formula SAE Michigan in 2026.
Today, Lions Motorsport has grown to more than 100 members across engineering, business, marketing, and film. As we prepare to return to Michigan, we remain focused on advancing our car, strengthening our team, and becoming more competitive each season.
